The Ice Hockey Association of Thailand extends its congratulations to Mr. Suwichak Sutthikarn, a Thai national ice hockey player who is currently studying at the Faculty of Dentistry, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, after receiving the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from Associate Professor Dr. Araya Ponghanyut, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
This achievement reflects Suwichak’s dedication and discipline in managing his time and balancing his responsibilities as both a Thai national ice hockey player and a dental student.
Ice hockey is currently gaining increasing interest among Thai youth. M.L. Krisada Kasemsan, President of the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand, places great importance on the comprehensive development of athletes and consistently emphasizes that whether they have advanced to the national team level or are still competing at the youth level, education should never be neglected, as it provides an important foundation for their future lives and careers.
For Mr. Suwichak Sutthikarn, his achievements serve as another example that “sports and education can go hand in hand” when time is properly planned and managed. His academic success alongside his career as a national athlete also serves as an inspiration to the new generation of ice hockey players to continuously develop themselves both on the ice and in the classroom.
The Ice Hockey Association of Thailand believes that Suwichak’s story will serve as a positive example for young people and the next generation of athletes, encouraging them to uphold discipline, effective time management, and the importance of education, in order to grow into both high-quality athletes and capable professionals in the future.
