The Bureau of the Royal Household has announced that Her Majesty the Queen will visit Japan from October 14 to 22, 2026. During the visit, Her Majesty is scheduled to attend the 2027 Women's Ice Hockey Asia Championship at the Tsukisamu Ice Arena in Sapporo, Japan, from October 15 to 18, 2026.
The royal visit follows an invitation extended by the President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Her Majesty the Queen serves as the IIHF Global Ambassador for Women's Ice Hockey. During the event, Her Majesty will attend the matches and present medals and trophies to the participating athletes.
According to the royal itinerary, Her Majesty the Queen will depart from Don Mueang Military Airport aboard a royal aircraft on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Her Majesty is scheduled to return to Don Mueang Military Airport on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
